ATS Out of Power – Winter Storm October 29, 2011

New England was hit with an an unprecendented snow storm on October 29th and 30th. Most of the trees had not yet shed their leaves. The accumulated eighteen inches of snow created weight that brought down thousands of trees and other debris throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts.

The storm caused significant damage to the area's electrical grid, phone lines, and internet infrastructure. 3 million homes and businesses have been affected. That is more outages than caused by any other storm in recorded history in New England.

Accu-Time Systems has been without electrical power and communication since October 30th. Our local utility companies are working hard to get our company up and running again for November 7th or 8th. The utility lines to our buildings were torn down by falling trees and branches, as were the lines along our street. Although most of the snow has melted crews still have several days of work ahead of them to return our region to normal.

As soon as we are operational again we will contact you to get caught up on shipments you were expecting, your tech support and service calls, and other important communication. Thank you for your patience.

Here are some photos.
